I had a rather peculiar afternoon yesterday when I went to write a feature for our quarterly magazine Exclusively Yours.
The feature is all about eyelash extensions, something I had never heard of before.
Basically I spent two hours having my eyelashes made longer, lash by lash.
Helen Griffiths, who does the tretment form her home in Chalfont St Peter, has mastered the skill which originated in the Far East.
As someone who doesn't even usually wear mascara I have to say I was rather intrigued as to how it all worked. It seems a steady hand and lots of patience are called for.
I now have an extra 45 lashes on each eye with the longest lash measuring 13mm, any longer and they would be brushing against my specs!
The thing I love about journalism is that no two days are the same, and this was certainly one of the strangest in a while.
You can read my full feature in Exclusively Yours which is due out on July 12.
