Weekend antics

I've just had a really good weekend, one where you actually feel you achieved a few things as well as just catching up on sleep and drinking too much!
Saturday was a beautiful day so I managed to get out in the garden and finally get round to planting my window boxes and hanging baskets. Now I never thought I would find myself writing this sort of thing, but since buying my first house, rather than the flat we previously owned, I quickly discovered you need to learn to love gardening or it soon starts to resemble a patch of wasteland. Actually I am not sure I particularly like gardening, but I certainly like the results.
Anyway, in the evening we had tickets to see the Counterfeit Stones at Wycombe Swan theatre. The Mr is a bit of a Stones fan so I thought I'd get tickets as it is cheaper than the real deal! I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it was a really good night. Ok me and the Mr bought the average age of the audience down by a few years, but it was a really good laugh. The band didn't take themselves too seriously, it was a bit like Spinal Tap. If you get a chance to see them you really should get tickets as they were very realistic mimics. Here's a link to their website if you want to find out more.

I just had a quick look myself and Ian from Chalfont posted on June 3, 2007 at 10.01am
"Attended Wycombe gig - getting better everytime I see the band. Gimme Shelter done to perfection. Can't wait for next time."
Yesterday I joined the 21st century and bought a little iPod shuffle so I spent the evening uploading music to it. It's fantastic. It is tiny, less than half the size of a matchbox and weighs nothing, but it can hold about 240 songs. I've resisted buying an iPod until now as the Mr has one and we use his in the house, but I was a bit jealous when we went on holiday and he was plugged in and I had to make do with the planes inflight music which was awful. His holds about 10,000 songs so mine is a bit weedy in comparison, but it's enough for me, and more importantly it's pink!
