Elvis lives!

I had a brilliant night out last night when I went to see The Elvis Years at The Elgiva in Chesham. I took my dad, a lifelong Elvis fan, as a thank you for all the work he has helped me with on my house over the last few months - I say helped me with, I really mean done. It was much better than giving him a bottle of plonk, we had a really good night.
People were up dancing in the aisles and merrily singing along, you could almost forget you were in Chesham!
Amusingly TV presenters Tess Daly and Vernon Kay came along to watch the performance. They were obviously just trying to have a quiet night out so snuck in just before the lights went down and sat in a corner right at the back. However in the second act Elvis comes out to the audience and he picked on Tess to sing to. She is so beautiful you can see instantly why he would have picked her. Anyway I am not sure he recognised them to begin with, but certainly had twigged by the end of the show as he thanked the audience for coming, especially Tess and Vernon. So much for trying to blend in to the crowd! I felt a bit sorry for them as they scuttled off before the lights went up. However, they probably didn't have too much to worry about. I think most people in the audience were of an age where they didn't have a clue who Tess and Vern were!
I actually got to meet Elvis after the show. He's from Muswell Hill, rather spoilt the illusion!
